We have twelve double bamboo huts all with views of the Arabian Sea.

Eight of the huts are fully equipped with en-suite bathrooms for the more luxurious traveller.

Our peaceful Bedouin style seating area is ideal for relaxing over a cool drink or watching Palolem’s fantastic sunsets.

We have a fantastic restaurant and cocktail bar which is open all day every day and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Alessandra is attractively located on the more tranquil north side of the beach, which makes it ideal for young families, and people of all ages.

Our Restaurant

Our restaurant is open from 07.00 to 23.30 every day and serves up an array of delicious food made with fresh local produce.
We cater for large parties and we prize ourselves on our efficient and friendly service.
We have two seating areas, a traditional restaurant area and a Bedouin style lounge area, for you to choose your preference.
Our specialities are Salads, Burgers, Steaks, and of course our Desserts which are unforgettable!
All meals are always prepared using fresh local produce, any juices or ice is always prepared with mineral water. The kitchen is run to European standards and hygiene and safety is our priority.

Our Rooms

We have twelve expertly made bamboo huts, all of them with a sea view and large balcony. The huts are on stilts in the sand and are comfortable and well maintained. Towels, Bed sheets, Toilet Paper, Soap and Blankets are provided. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels and sheets changed upon request.
All rooms are fully furnished, and the beds have large comfortable mattresses. All have electric fans and electricity sockets, as well as mosquito nets. Most rooms have room for an extra bed if required.
Eight of our rooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot water, toilet, shower and a large washbasin. Two of these rooms have a full-sized bath. We recommend en-suite rooms are booked in advance.
Our basic rooms have access to our shared toilets and showers, which are cleaned at intervals throughout the day and are very near to all the huts.
At Alessandra we believe our guests should enjoy staying right on the beach without lacking in any of the required comforts. The sound of the sea will lull you to sleep at night. There is always someone on duty at reception should you need anything and we have a safety box facility for each of our rooms. We also provide a laundry service.

Our Beach

Situated in the southern-most province of Goa, Canacona, Palolem is Goa’s most idyllic beach. The beach is lined with leaning coconut palms and white sands. Either end of the beach is surrounded by magnificent headlands. Monkey Island is nearest to Alessandra and at low tide, can easily be reached on foot.
Palolem is much more tranquil than Goa’s more northern beaches, providing a relaxing and enchanting atmosphere which will be difficult to leave. The local fisherman undertake dolphin spotting trips and boat trips to nearby beaches, and Alessandra will be happy to help organise this for you.
The village of Palolem is just a three-minute walk away from our resort and the local shops are fully stocked with anything you may need.

Alessandra will be open from the 15th of November 2008 till May 2009

So what do you think?




As we move into March we are only two months away from the end of the season 2007-2008 at Alessandra. The best indicator of our success is the happiness and satisfaction of our guests.

We have been sending out emails to everyone who has already stayed with us this season asking for their opinions and suggestions.

We strive to achieve the highest standards and we hope that everyone that stays with us will enjoy a relaxing holiday and want to come back to stay at Alessandra in Palolem again.

January at Alessandra

We were having a quiet beer the other evening, sitting on the terrace at Alessandra when someone spotted a dolphin, and then another! Right there in the shallow waters of the Arabian Sea in front of the resort, the dolphins had decided to pay us a visit once again. We all watched with delight as they swam around gliding in and out of the water.
Depending on tides and how busy the area is, the dolphins can be spotted whilst you are having your morning coffee at Alessandra. If you have yet to see a dolphin in the wild, it is difficult to describe how magical the experience is. I am always excited by their presence.
Turtles are also regular visitors to the area, though they seem to be avoiding Palolem this year, preferring the quieter beaches of Patnem and Agonda. Last year a turtle came to lay her eggs on Christmas Eve, right in front of Alessandra!

Bookings are coming in now for February, make sure you email us in advance to book one of the lovliest huts on the beach!

The season is in full swing!

The season is now in full swing at Alessandra.
We had a very successful opening party, thank you to everyone who came along and made it extra special!

We have now launched our website on another domain: www.Palolem-Beach.com -Look out for regular updates!

We are constantly updating photos and are always happy to receive any of your contributions.
